WRITEWORDS INK PUBLISHING & CONSULTING

Your Message Best Expressed • Online • In Print • In Person

ReneeGotcherWriteWords Ink is an independent publishing and consulting company founded by Renée Gotcher, a freelance writer and former executive editor for a national technology magazine. As the principal consultant of WriteWords Ink, Renée offers a variety of communications consulting and editorial services for media companies and business owners who want to create a unique identity for their business and be able to express that message more effectively to the world — online, in print and in person. Her offerings are both flexible and affordable for the multitasking business owner who wants to sharpen their image without wasting another precious minute.

Previously, Renée was an executive editor for the national technology news magazine InfoWorld (currently an online-only publication) and has freelanced for technology companies and a variety of small businesses and organizations. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, with an emphasis in Magazine Publishing. After leaving the full-time journalism world in 2002 to become a work-at-home mother, Renée also started an independent business as a Mary Kay beauty consultant and served as a Sr. Sales Director for her team of inspiring entrepreneurial women until the Spring of 2011.

Renée has been working with women’s business organizations for the past eight years. She was president of the Portland Pearl BNI Chapter, a board member of WEO (Women Entrepreneurs of Oregon), and a founding member of Portland Mamas Inc. (now called the Power M.O.B. – Mom-Owned Business) prior to moving to Durango in 2007. She also founded a women’s business community called the Durango Business Women’s Idea Exchange in 2008, running the free monthly meetings and occasionally teaching workshops on various marketing and networking topics for group members. Although Renée left Durango in 2010, the Idea Exchange remains active today under the leadership of local entrepreneurs.

Currently Renée also home educates her three daughters full time. You can find Renée putting her skills into action in Castle Rock, Colorado, where you are likely to bump into her at the next Douglas County Divas networking event.
